The Glorious Saga of the Indian Constitution

The Indian Constitution is the supreme law of India. It declares India as a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic.

The Constitution grants citizens fundamental rights—including equality, freedom, and religious liberty—while also prescribing certain duties. It clearly delineates the distribution of powers between the Central Government and State Governments.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar is recognized as the principal architect of the Indian Constitution. The Constitution has established a robust and stable democratic framework committed to the nation’s development and citizen welfare. It serves as the foundation of the law and a guiding compass for every Indian.
